Projects
Organize work under projects, connect them to clients, control who can see them, and archive or delete when work wraps up.
Overview
Projects group time entries and make reporting clearer. Each project can have a color, a client, billing details, and a list of people who may log time to it.
Create a project
- Open Projects and choose to create a new project.
- Enter a name and optional description.
- Pick a color to spot the project on the calendar and in lists.
- Optionally link a client and set a default billable rate if your team uses one.
- Invite team members who should log time or manage the project, if prompted.
- Save. You are usually added as a manager automatically when you create the project.
Project details and billing
- Client — Connects the project to a client for reports and invoices.
- Billable rate — Can feed calculations when you bill from time.
- Active state — You can archive a project instead of deleting it if you might need history later.
Archive and unarchive
- Open the project and turn off active status, or use the archive action from the project list, depending on your screen.
- Archived projects are hidden from normal pickers but history remains.
- To use the project again, unarchive it from the archived list or project settings.
Delete a project
- From the project, use delete where your permissions allow.
- Confirm if asked. Deletion may be permanent—use archive if you only want to hide active work.
Who can see a project
- Team members — You can add or remove people who should see the project and log time.
- Access levels — People may have view, edit, or admin access on a project. Admins can manage settings and membership.
- Email invites — You can paste one or more email addresses to invite people already on the team or to invite new members, depending on what the form allows.
- Bulk updates — Some screens let you adjust everyone who should have access in one save.
You usually cannot remove yourself from a project unless another owner or admin handles access.
