People
Invite teammates, set what they are allowed to do, and connect them to the right projects.
Overview
The People page lists everyone on your team, shows pending invitations, and is where owners and admins adjust roles and permissions.
Invite people
- Open People and choose to invite by email.
- Enter one or more addresses, separated by commas, spaces, or semicolons if the form allows.
- Optionally pre-assign project access so new people can log time immediately.
- Send the invitation. Invited users receive email with steps to join.
If your team is at its seat limit, Timen will explain that you need to upgrade or free a seat before adding more people.
Roles and permissions
- Owner — Full control of billing and sensitive settings.
- Admin — Can manage most day-to-day settings and people, within limits.
- Member — Typically tracks time and may have extra permissions toggled by an admin (such as viewing reports or managing tags).
Admins can fine-tune permissions for non-owners where the product allows. You cannot remove an owner or change owner-only protections from a lower role.
Project access
- Open a person’s profile from the People list.
- Assign or remove projects they should log time against.
- Save. They only see projects they have access to when logging time.
Resend invite or remove someone
- Pending invites — Resend the email if someone did not receive it.
- Remove a member — Owners and admins can remove people who should no longer access the workspace, subject to product rules.
You cannot remove the team owner or delete your own account from this flow in the same way as removing another member—those actions are protected.
Seat limits
Your subscription covers a number of active seats. When the team is full, invite new people only after upgrading or freeing a seat. Someone with billing access will see upgrade prompts.
