Calculate weekly billable hours and the amount to bill each client. Enter daily hours or start and end times, deduct breaks and apply your contract's rounding rule if needed. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
| Client | Hours | Rate | Amount |
|---|
The calculator deducts breaks, applies any rounding you choose and multiplies billable hours by the client's rate. Each client has separate hours, breaks and rates.
First
The calculator subtracts the break you set for a client from each day with time entered for that client, before rounding. Daily hours never drop below zero.
Then
Choose no rounding, or round up or to the nearest 6, 15 or 30 minutes. Rounding applies once to each client's daily total, so small entries do not pile up into extra hours.
Last
Untick Billable for internal work. Those hours appear in the non-billable total and do not add to the amount to bill.
Yes. The billable hours calculator is free, with no sign-up. It runs in your browser. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere, and closing the page clears it.
Billable hours are time spent on work a client has agreed to pay for. Add up that time, excluding breaks and internal work, then apply any rounding rule in your contract. Multiply each client's billable hours by their hourly rate to calculate the amount to bill.
Round billable time only if your contract or engagement letter requires it. Six minutes is a tenth of an hour, which keeps invoice lines easy to read; 15 minutes is the other common step. Whichever you use, apply it the same way to every client and every day.
Enter the actual start and end times, for example 22:00 to 02:00. When the end time is earlier than the start time, the calculator treats it as the next day.
Yes. In Hours per day mode, the calculator accepts 7.5, 7,5 or 7:30. All three mean seven and a half hours.
No. Timen has no rounding setting and keeps tracked time unchanged. If your contract requires rounding, adjust the hours on the invoice line before sending the invoice.
Timen tracks your hours as you work and turns them into an invoice. The full product is free, with unlimited users.
