Bill project fees and hourly work on one invoice. Timen fills the hourly lines from tracked time, and you can add fixed-price work before sending the PDF.

The sample above is the Letterhead layout: your name across the top, a serif heading, payment details and a reference at the foot. Nine other layouts carry the same fields.
After signing up, open an invoice and choose Letterhead from the Design menu to use this layout.

The main billing details, with editable lines for the work you have agreed with the client.
Your name, address and email at the top, the client's billing details beside it, both typed straight onto the invoice and remembered for the next one.
The number is suggested from the date and stays unique, and the due date defaults to 30 days out. Change either in place.
A fixed-price deliverable is a line with a quantity of one. Hourly work is a line with the hours and your rate. Both add into the same total.
The total updates as you edit the lines. Add a tax label and rate if you charge one.
Your bank details and a payment note print at the foot, so the client is not emailing you for them.
Drop your logo on the invoice and pick an accent colour. The whole thing goes out as a PDF with the fonts embedded.
From tracked time
Track the client's work in Timen as you do it, or add the hours at the end of the day. Each entry carries the project, a short description and a billable flag.
When billing is due, start an invoice from the client's report. Review the billable hours and rates, then add fixed-price deliverables as manual lines. Remove hourly charges covered by those fees.
Hours that have been invoiced are marked, so the next invoice picks up only the new work.
Ten layouts
Open any invoice and press Design. Pick one of ten layouts and the invoice redraws in it on the spot, with everything you had typed still in place.
Add your logo, then choose an accent colour and font to match your business.
Set the regional date and number formats and choose A4 or Letter paper. Timen saves these settings for your team's invoices.
Send it
Download the invoice as a PDF with the fonts embedded, so it looks the same on the client's screen as on yours.
You can also send an invoice to QuickBooks Online, Xero, FreshBooks or Wave. You approve each send, and Timen keeps no standing connection between sends.
Wave does not accept invoices with tax or discounts, and invoices sent there cannot be updated from Timen. You can also download a CSV for the QuickBooks or Xero importer. See the invoice export details.
Track the work, review the invoice and send the PDF. Timen is free for you and your team.
